As much as I love being on the road, & often feel like I could go on the road full-time, I do enjoying arriving home. Though it was 62* here, these snow piles are still hanging around in the parking lot of the local shopping center - a reminder of why all that driving to AZ was worth it.  And by my front door, these snow drops are welcoming spring. My summer trip will be to the UK without the trailer, so I don't expect to post here again until September, when the fall trailer rallies begin.

The part needed for the trailer came in yesterday, & the repair went smoothly. I left Stone Mountain mid-afternoon & drove to the northern South Carolina. Spent the night in a Cracker Barrel parking lot in Gaffney, SC - lots of highway noise, but the price (free) was right.  Today, I drove on to central West Virginia to a KOA in Flatwoods. It's very quiet, & I'll be able to dump here in the morning before heading home.  These geese visited my campsite at Stone Mountain; clearly, I stayed there too long, as I was desperate enough to befriend the local waterfowl.  😁

Well, the lady who promised to order in the part needed for my trailer didn't do it, so it wasn't there this morning; it's now promised for tomorrow. So, I had another day to noodle around Stone Mountain & enjoy the early spring here.   a very cool rig

As expected, I'll have to wait for a part to come in to get the electrical issue on my trailer fixed. Fortunately, the part is due in on Monday, & it's an easy fix, so I should be back on the road on Tuesday. In the meantime, I explored Stone Mountain a bit yesterday & today. Seeing daffodils in February is amazing!                      southern magnolia
