The morning started with a fan-freaking-tastic drive over the rockies on I-70 in Colorado; it's got to be as beautiful as any interstate drive in the country. There wasn't a great place to pull out to get a good pic, so this one will have to do.

After going through Grand Junction & Fruita, I turned north on a scenic CO-139 over Douglas Pass. This was the first narrow switchback road for me with the trailer, & it went well. Thankful for light traffic. The view from the pass was pretty nice, & the trailer caught the eye of a man sharing the view with me.

Beyond the pass is Canyon Pintado National Historic District. The Fremont people left many rock paintings throughout the area 1500-2000 years ago. I'm guessing that those are swallow nests under the rock overhang.

 Pretty much a perfect day.
