Wanted to do the short walk along the rim of Flaming Gorge yesterday, but it was raining both times I got to this area. Got there this morning about 8:00, walked & took in the morning for half an hour - not a soul around. When I left just before 9:00, the first person arrived to open the visitor center. It was fantastic for me to be alone in this beautiful place, but a little sad that so few people come to enjoy it.

Another view leaving The Gorge.

Approaching the Salt Lake City area from the northeast, there was some beautiful scenery.

It was disappointing several days ago to get an email cancelling my campground reservation for a site up near Park City. Seems that the huge snowfall caused some damage that was just revealed with the snow melt. Had to "settle" for this spot in Antelope Island State Park surrounded by the Great Salt Lake - not bad for a Plan B for the next 4 nights.

So, the lesson life taught me today is not to get upset about disrupted plans, as the new plan can  sometimes be even better than the original.
