Fredericksburg, TX

It was a bit of a haul, but I took a day trip to Fredericksburg today. It's a lovely historical town, & the Pioneer Museum was well done & quite interesting - lots of history of the Germans settling this central & southeastern Texas area in the mid to late 1800s. Had planned to see the WW II in the Pacific Museum there, but it's HUGE, so that will wait till next trip.

Cute buildings in town...

Loving the flowers in March...

Driving home, I saw some unusual looking deer being raised on a ranch. Did a bit of research & discovered that they are Pere David's deer - pretty unusual.  https://www.britannica.com/animal/deer (Took this pic from the website of the ranch where they're being raised.)
