2 more lighthouses

Today was a light day for sightseeing. After heading about 30 miles south yesterday, I headed about 20 miles north today...well, 20 miles as the crow flies; it was much further following the convoluted roads, but they took me to 2 capes, each with a lighthouse. I'm slightly obsessed with lighthouses.

The south-facing coast on the Atlantic that I explored yesterday was quite different from the west-facing coast on the Gulf of St Lawrence that I saw today.

The first destination was Cape Ray. Besides seeing the lighthouse, a beautiful fox hung out quite close to where I was walking. Also, a stone root cellar was nearby.

Then, it was on to Cape Anguille.

Despite what the calendar says, it's still spring here, and the wildflowers are just coming on. Here are a few from yesterday & today. The first pic is the back of my campsite, & a tiny brook there is just visible in the center of the pic. The second pic is of dandelions, which are everywhere & much more robust than at home. The third pic is a pitcher plant - not showy, but quite interesting.
