on to the Great Northern Peninsula

On a map of Newfoundland, the large peninsula on the western side that stretches northward toward Labrador is called the Great Northern Peninsula. My drive today took me to about the half-way point of the west coast of this piece of land. The landscape became more alpine, & it's noticeably cooler here (maybe 12*F), just 125 miles north of Corner Brook.

The Arches Provincial Park is just a small parcel of land surrounding this group of sea arches.
                            

Not spectacular, but the view out my back window this evening isn't too shabby.
