Gros Morne: area towns

I walked the headlands on either side of Trout River the day before yesterday; my goal today was to check out Long Point Brook in behind the town. Just as a lake here is called a pond, a river or large stream seems to be called a brook.

And back in the town of Trout River, the headlands were much prettier in the glorious sunshine. Temp went to 73*! While there's very little evidence of poverty here, the vast majority of homes are fairly modest with no landscaping, but there were a few larger fancier places in Trout River.

The fish company is obviously big business with a processing plant, several of their own semi trucks, & at least two big fishing boats.

Had a seafood basket in this fun retro cafe, then ended the day at the Woody Point Lighthouse.
