Twillingate: history & food

First up today was exploring the Beothuk Interpretation Centre Provincial Historical Site. A beautifully done museum, it tells both the story of the Beothuk tribe & the archeological exploration of this site.

After exploring several little coves (pics tomorrow), I had the best seafood chowder ever for lunch; instead of vegetables & potatoes for "filler", it was packed with cod between the assorted shellfish. A sea tern held court, & the view from the dockside dining was fab. In case there was any doubt about how fresh everything was, there is a huge lobster pool on site - an interesting place.
