a bit of this & that
After meeting a friend of a friend for coffee in Carbonear this morning, I ran a bunch of errands: made a withdrawal at the bank, got a propane tank filled, found a place to refill my big water jugs (most campground water here must be boiled), bought a few groceries, etc. Am not loving the campground I'm in at Green's Harbour, so I checked out several others in the area for a future trip.
Finally, I walked a trail to a pasture of Newfoundland Ponies; it was a nice walk, but I didn't find the ponies, so here's some info that was posted. There are only about 250 of them left here in NL & about 450 worldwide.
Since there aren't many pics from today, here are some I've been saving. In my post on Elliston, there was some info on the root cellars & pics of the stone cellars found there. Though Elliston has by far the most, there are a few cellars scattered all around the province, & some of them are quite funky.
