Ajo & campground

Like most places, there are roadside memorials for folks who've passed. The ones in this area seem to be more elaborate than most I've seen elsewhere, & some even look like actual burial sites; the second one here includes an inscribed stone.

The campground I've stayed in the last week is cozy & quirky. The proprietor, Joyce, is from Scotland, & flies a Scotland flag along with a US one. She lends you a whole notebook of information about the area & hosts a campfire on warm evenings; the days have been lovely this week, but the evenings quite cool, so no fires. She also runs a charity which provides food, blankets, & other necessities to people in need.
