an excursion to an old mission
Drove about 50 miles south of Tucson to Tumacacori National Historical Park, site of an old mission. It was a Jesuit mission until Spain removed them, & then the Franciscans moved in. It was interesting that architectural inspiration came from around the globe with elements that are Egyptian, Roman, Moorish, Spanish.
On the way to & fro, I enjoyed the desert scenery, & found a classic Arizonan neighborhood street.
I also did a bunch of errands including getting gas, getting an oil change, getting the truck washed, filling a propane tank, going to the bank, & going grocery shopping. The biggest coup was lining up an RV tech to come work on the trailer either tomorrow or Sun - very exciting!
