back in Tucson
My big accomplishment today was breaking camp this morning, driving about 2 1/2 hours from the Phoenix area to the Tucson area, & setting up camp here. There may have been a short nap after arrival, & it was good to have a long catch-up on the phone with a friend from home.
When planning this trip many months ago, my thought was to camp in a dispersed camping area, but I checked it out when passing through a few weeks ago, & didn't like the look of it. So, I booked in here at the Pima County Fairgrounds RV Park - basically a big parking lot, but with full hookups, showers, & laundry facilities. Though not an exciting place to stay, it's quiet, feels safe, & is as warm & sunny as anywhere else in southern AZ. 😊
Oh, & there's a beautiful & friendly neighbor; her parents are friendly too.
