family & Tucson Botanical Gardens

Caught up with one of my step-sisters & her husband today over a lovely lunch & a visit to Tucson Botanical Gardens. Can't get enough of flowers in February; irises & pansies are two of my faves.

There's a seasonal butterfly house which had many butterflies along with orchids.

The cactus collection is stunning, & we enjoyed watching a pair of birds building a nest in a Saguaro cactus.

In the gallery was a special exhibit of stunning watercolors of two types of plants, or a plant & an animal, which help each other out (known as symbiosis or mutualism).

Another decent sunset.
