driving BC

Today was primarily a drive day, taking me about 400 miles from the southern border of BC at Osoyoos about a third of the way up the province to Quesnel. It was a long day since the roads (not interstates here) wound up & down several significant mountains & many hills. The saving grace was that there weren't too many towns & almost no traffic.

In spite of no major attractions, I did make a few stops.

Osoyoos Lake.

A huge copper mine covered several square miles.

Scenic mountains, nice to look at, but tedious to drive through.

Roadkill Grill in Clinton BC, where I caught up with some other Escape owners who are also heading to Alaska.

A geological feature.

A cool sky a good 2 hours before sunset.
