into Canada

Drove about 530 miles today from west-central Montana, through a bit of Idaho, a long winding backroad through northeastern Washington, & into the southeastern corner of British Columbia - a looooong day, but all good.

The day started with frost on the picnic table, but it was a beautiful morning.

For some reason, these Sinclair dinosaurs always make me think of the 1960s - weird.

Spring in Montana is glorious, even with bands of clouds moving through all day.

Northwestern Montana features huckleberry everything: pies, candy, ice cream, etc, etc.

I stopped for gas in Washington before crossing the border. This guy was parked in front of the gas pumps, & spent at least 10 minutes rearranging the junk in the back of his pickup & on his trailer; it reminded me of the old TV show, The Beverly Hillbillies. The parking area was so tight that I couldn't get around him or back up, so I just shook my head & watched the show.

The border crossing was uneventful - whew!
