on to Montana

Today's drive took me from western Minnesota across North Dakota & into eastern Montana. Temperature started in the upper 30s & only got into the lower 40s, & rain showers came through in bands all day, so it was a good day not to be outside much.

Midwesterners will recognize the place I had a late lunch, as it is part of a chain.

ND is  pretty in the spring when the rolling hills are green, & the lakes are full.

This sculpture is along I-94 in far western ND. Though not my cup of tea, it does provide some roadside interest; it's reputed to be the world's largest sculpture made from scrap. Nearby is the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, where a herd of bison were grazing close to the interstate - a couple of them were huge!

I stayed in this state park 2 years ago when visiting Wyoming & Montana, & even got the same campsite as then.
