Osoyoos BC, post-rally day

After a "farewell coffee" this morning, the rally was over, then about a third to half the folks left, but the place was still abuzz with Escape-related activities.

A group of Escape owners are going to Alaska together. The core group is 6 trailers (2 couples & 4 solo women). Another couple & I will drop in for a part of their trip - I'll be with them for about a week around Fairbanks & Denali. The group met this afternoon to get acquainted, trade contact info, & discuss logistics.

A couple I met here through a mutual friend invited me to their post-rally potluck dinner; with most of the group crossing back into the US tomorrow morning, the goal is to use up your fresh fruits & veggies, which can't be taken across the border (either direction). Since I'm heading north into Canada, I went grocery shopping & stocked up on fresh produce to use in my dish & during this week.

Here are a few pics taken around the campground.

This area around Osoyoos is classified as Sonoran Dessert.

These huge rigs never cease to amaze me, though you couldn't give me one.

The cat in this catio seemed happy watching the world go by.
