last day in Whitehorse

Just outside of Whitehorse is a "motorcycle park", which is a new concept for me. It's owned by friends of my friends here, so I got the lowdown. Inside are cabins & heated tents for rent, & the "roads" in the park are very narrow, so that only motorcycles can fit down them.

A number of buildings here have artwork in this style done by local Kwanlin Dun (First Nations) artists.

On the other wall of the laundromat is this mural; the building of the ALCAN is a dominant theme here.

...and another piece of art here.

There's a huge indoor sports centre here with a large pool, several ice rinks, pickleball courts, a track, etc. I was at first surprised as this is a town of under 30,000 residents, but it makes sense to prioritize this since it is so cold & dark here for so many months each year. There's interesting artwork here too.

My friends here have some natural artwork in their front yard.

I'm going to miss Whitehorse.
