on to Seward

leaving Hope

The old school house operated until 1986. I met the lady who made it her mission to save the building & turn it into a library. She now volunteers in the gift shop, which supports the library. I may have bought too much stuff in the gift shop. ☺

This is the town square with public restrooms, benches, & an info board.

I had dinner with 2 ladies from the Escape caravan, an Escape owner from Wasilla, & her mom who lives here in Seward. We then retired to the campsite of another couple from the caravan for a nightcap. I'll see some of them again at rallies & such, but this is the last time that we'll overlap on this trip.
