Wasilla & Palmer
These two towns are only about 10 miles apart & almost blend together.
Museum of Alaska Transportation & Industry - Wasilla
Though not large & with some ho-hum sections, it contained some well-done exhibits & some unique items.
Palmer Visitor Center & Museum
The record-setting vegetables one hears about being grown in Alaska are grown in the Palmer area.

Of course, there's a statue of Balto.
Every visitor center should have a piano outside the entry, just in case someone wants to play.
The US government planted a farming colony here, & some of the original barns remain. The "snow" in the 4th pic is actually "cotton" from cottonwoods. I have a weird obsession with barns.
mountains & cultivated flowers around Palmer
These mountain shots are taken from in the town of Palmer.
And this is the view of the Chugach Mountains from my campsite on the edge of Palmer.
